Aberdeenshire
Aberdeenshire is a county in the north of Scotland , taking its name from the historic county of Aberdeen , which actually no longer exists. The area is regarded as one of Scotland 's most beautiful, with numerous inlets and estuaries from the North Sea around its coast. It is very popular with tourists from all over the world, who flock to the area in droves all year round.
Something that brings tourists back time and time again is the famous Scottish hospitality. Despite a somewhat cruel stereotype of being tight-fisted and unwelcoming to outsiders, the facts are actually completely opposite. Visitors to Scotland can be assured of one of the warmest welcomes they would receive anywhere in Europe , which is another reason why people return to the area of Aberdeenshire time and time again.
Whatever parts of Aberdeenshire you're hoping to visit you will never be short of somewhere to stay. Regardless of your budget you will have no trouble finding an establishment that can host your stay. From up market, luxury hotels in the cities and large towns, to smaller traditional guest houses and bed and breakfasts, there is something for all tastes and wallets.
Although there are things to do all year round in Aberdeenshire, probably the best time to come is during the summer time, when the weather is good enough to enjoy the beautiful surrounding countryside and nature reserves. Be warned though – visitors to Scotland are strongly advised to pack a waterproof coat whatever time of year it is.
